Inside Our Holy Redeemer Parish Church

The inside of Our Holy Redeemer is modern yet simple. The altar and the lectern are adorned with Christ's promise to his church "I am with you until the end of the ages". On the altar this is translated into the Gaelic language - "Tha mise maille ruibh gu siorraidh". This ancient celtic language is still spoken today throughout the Western Isles. Although its use is more prevelant within the Protestant churches on the island of Lewis, Gaelic masses are still held regularly in our parish.

"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the first-born who are enrolled in heaven, and to a judge who is God of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks more graciously than the blood of Abel." Hebrews 12 Vs 22cf
